Different Races For Different Consoles

Hi all, I'm new to the forum and hope I don't mess you about much.
Anyway, I've heard that PC and Xbox gamers HAVE to choose between certain races - so the other console cannot be that same race. Is this true or am I just hearing false things?

Something similar to this has already been discusses on another thread I think... I doubt they'd make platform specific races though. Probably just a rumor flying around, but it wouldn't be likely because the alternatives fight against sapiens for PvP - and it's already been mentioned Xbox cannot PvP with PC. So if they limit alternatives to Xbox how could there be PvP? see... this is why I doubt this is true.
