Alternix Phantom

I think most people that are phantoms will be snipers but is anyone gonna go scout? (Mostly speed and stealth and less in sniper abilitys?)

I will. I like to snipe, and will definetley invest in sniping skills, but i will mainly focus on running fast, agility, stealth, and most likely hand to hand combat or knife fighting, since my favorite part of planetside was being a invisible stealth guy, knifing people in the back, and laughing.

I think there will be scouts especially if an organized group people or clan is playing in the battle. It is always nice to know ware the enimy is so you can plan acordingly.

What clan? And i haven't completley decided im just leaning towards alternix instead of syn cause from what ive read there the more stealthy class but if they turn out even i might go syn.

Well, atm, the clan is trying to find a different name since Obsidian Empire is taken, but it is a sapien clan, looking for new members, and know how to run a clan.

Back on topic, when I was in the Dragonwolves, for my brief period of time, in Planetside, we were always trying to figure out what base the other faction would attack, so we could reinforce that base. What we used, of course, were scouts, people with cloak suits and were standing 2 meters from the enemy, trying to figure out what they were doing.

Probably measured in miles like tens or hundreds not sure which. Ya I see snipers as giving enemy position info but through a scope not close up. Or maybe give snipers binocs that have better zoom than the scope?

The biggest nuke ever made ( and tested ) was a fifty megaton one, if it would have been thrown on London everything in 50 kilometers would have been gone, and everything within a 140 kilometers would have been vaporized by the huge fireball you get from the detonation.

Just to show you ,

Anyways i think all classes will be capable of having some sort of " oh you don't like sniping, well you can do this & that aswell being a phantom " kind of thing. For example what you said, scouting.

But untill we see some more footage about i.e. cloaking devices it's a little bit hard to say which way this will go.
But i would definately like to see different "class" options so everyone will be able to do what he wants without being restricted to ; "You're a sniper, so the only thing you can do the rest of your life is to Snipe people".
I think you get the point.

I hope more people actually try to be organized than like in WoW. I plan on joining a clan anyway, but for those times when I'm just hoping on to play for a bit and there isn't a clan group going, I would hope the community is good enough that people set up their own groups and just kind of work together even though they don't know each other.

Hopefully we are kind of forced to do that (as in you are at a HUGE disadvantage if you don't get in a group and stick with them). That would probably make things easier

Nothing but stealth for me. Some agility on the side. I like to think that real stealth comes from patience and cunning. Doing nothing but playing rogue classes in every MMO and playing the Thief series for PC have taught me this.

Every now and then I practice my cunning on my friends.
EXAMPLE: Playing with waterguns one day with Sixon- His dad comes out and tells him to move his truck. While he was gone, I emptied his guns and filled up mine. This is a famous skill rogues have called sabotage.

Theres many more stories about me and my dastardly deeds, but some people find being a rogue in real life is quite..... mean.

i was wondering if there would be any bonuses for being in a group, such as morale boosts or sumthing along those lines. If they had this, thatd probably increase the strategic element of the game and try to keep it more neat. I'd rather see squads of organized people running around than a buncha noobs runnin around shooting at everything that moves
