    Default Skill System

    Hiho!

I?ve used the search-option but didn?t find anything of use...

So, does anyone know some more detailed things about the skill system? Will it be like planetside, so all people are equal at speed, aiming, etc. and just have a larger amount of items to choose from or will there be a skill system where i can specialize my char e.g. in sneaking, aiming, etc.

    thanks for info!

    cheers, newt0n

PS: I just can?t wait till this game comes out... looks so fucking cool

Yeah, Huxley is primarily based on skill. This means that while higher levels have better waepons and perhaps better armor giving them an advantage in battle, lower levels who have skill can still beat higher levels with no skill. They haven't released anything about specializing in types of battle yet like sneaking or aiming but I'm sure aiming will be entirely up to you and as with your sneaking skill.

They have said though that different races are better than other at different things so if its sneaky you want to be, Altertnix ftw. I can only assume that this race will be faster, more agile and light with a smaller area to shoot at and that as your level increases you become faster. But this is only appropriate estimation, it could go either way. Just remember that this game is primarily based on skill and you cannot just PvE whore until a high level.

if so, it would be great.

imo it would be crap if highler lvls have "real" advantages. So, if it?ll be like planetside, a noob with noob armor and noob weapons can also kick high-lvl char?s asses

thx for the fast response, cya on the battlefield

Only thing I've heard thus far about skills is that they will not give players more power or huge advantages. As you level you will unlock skills or special player abilites, for example, the double jump. Hopefully, there will be robust skill list and everyone one of the unlockable skills will be useful.

Yes I'm hoping the unlockable skills will lean characters towards certain roles in group combat... NOT a rock/paper/scissors style, but I don't want cookie cutter templates for each sub species.
