im so looking forwed to this game. Sigil really have done what seems to be an amazing job on this and have coped well with all the NDA breakers and beta leaks.

Ive noticed on alot of forums people still havnt heard of Vanguard:SOH or there are many bad reports of the game being an "everquest clone". This shocks me as i believe this will be a truly awsome game that will set a new bar for fantasy style MMO's. Im going to put some info/pics here for those who dont know much about the game!

What is Vanguard: Saga of Heroes?
Vanguard is a massively multiplayer online RPG powered by a heavily modified Unreal engine and produced by former team members of the Everquest franchise. Vanguard is a High Fantasy themed game with a heavy focus on character development, an immersive world and player interdependence.

Vanguard involves the planet Telon, a world rich with history, lore, and magic, and populated by humans, elves, dwarves, and many other traditional fantasy races. The setting could be best described as High Fantasy, but not necessarily only traditional High Fantasy -- Thestra is a land of traditional High Fantasy, while Qalia has an Arabian Nights theme, and Kojan an Oriental or Asian feel.

Vanguard offers a huge character customization choices, with over 19 races and 15 classes to choose from. Many Mounts are available ranging from horses, camels, unicorns to wyverns. Player owned houses and boats will also be available on launch, both offereing a huge range of customizable options.

We have actualy just started to build a Vanguard portal to be part of our community now but it has alot of work left to do so please excuse the simple look.

Here is the link for anyone really interested in the game, We could do with some more info too so if anyone wants to submit some on the forum over there it would be much appreciated so we can add it to the main part of the site.

In my ongoing quest to find a new MMORPG to become addicted to, I am currently torn between Vanguard and LOTR Online. I was lucky enough to get into the LOTR beta, and I enjoy the game thoroughly but I am also anticipating the Vanguard release and did not get into this beta. Has anyone been exposed to both of these games and can he/she provide a brief comparison of how each stacks up to the other regarding different aspects of the MMO? (i.e. content, game design and originality, immersion, graphics, etc) Thanks.

Lord Of The Rings Online is a massively multiplayer online role playing game and we have just launched the site and are looking to get a nice community built to support this amazing MMORG.

We still have a fair bit of work to do on the site but please continue to the forum and get involved.

I dont know if u were really tired when you wrote that but you refered to LOTR online instead of Vanguard: SOH!

there has been alot of concern about the uni body system in this game and I was just looking around and saw the new dwarf models, id like to know what you guys think.

Id say the new dwarf is looking pretty damn mean, kinda warhammerish.

All I can say is that Vanguard is supposed to be very in depth. The boats that players can own...as well as most everything else...will not be on just a public market to purchase but the players will have to have a tradesman make the items (armor, weapons, boats, houses, food...ect.) for him/her. This kind of takes the game back to the EQ1 standards but with a muchmore advanced graphical interface and story line. I, myself, am very excited to get thisgame when it comes out. But, being a dedicated FPS person (as well as and EQ2 player) I am jumping up and down waiting on Huxley to arrive.

Just to let you all know that we have now chosen to focus more on our Vanguard section within this community rather than starting a new one so we will be able to keep on top of things better so rather than having http://www.Vanguard-Game.com setup we will now keep it to http://www.Online-Multiplayer.com/vanguard

That is a good thing in my opinion. It is one less website to keep track off and make this one that much better. I think that these forums are off to a very good start and I hope to see it grow. I have been telling most all of my co-workers, that play games, about this site the past couple of days, so I hope to see more new members signing up soon.
