Halo Wars vs Halo 3?

I know these two shouldn't be compared as they are entirely different game genres... But which one are you going to be spending late night hours on? I'm thinking about building a new computer next year with Halo Wars in mind :P I'm not quite looking forward to Halo 3... Bungie let me down on its 2nd installation.

well im thinking of flogging off my 360 on ebay so no Halo3 for me. I cant say im actually looking forwed to either of them, not untill i see some ingame footage anyway.
Check some halo3 scans and info here ( news is about a week old but those who missed it, take a look)

I think its cool how your secondary weapon is now strapped to your backed, can add to a bit more tactical gameplay.

i can barely think of seeing secondary weapons useful

it could come in usefull in some situations, especially sniping. Taking out the guy with the sniper rifle/rocket launcher strapped to his back is going to be a higher priority than the guy next to him with the shotgun strapped to his.

yes and thats the only time you will even care if you can see it or not

It's also important in terms of seeing what kind of combos your opponent has. If you see them running around with a plasma pistol and a battle rifle strapped to their back, youre gonna want to avoid them or figure out a way to kill them before they fire off that plasma pistol. You also wouldnt want to get up close to a guy with a shotgun on his back, or an energy sword.

Halo 3 is a long wait guys. I was reading on 1up.com that the 3d assests haven't been upgraded for next gen yet. And judging by the screenshots surinf around lately. I think they've got a long way to go to catch up with Gears of War. Could be wrong though!

my local video store already has cases on the shelfs with HALO 3- COMING SOON! I had to laugh at his pathetic case. Looked like he used Microsoft paint or a crayon or something.
